June 22 NOTE FROM A SOLDIER Here is a note from an unknown American soldier upon his return from a tour of duty in Iraq: "For every hill I've had to climb. For every stone that burned my feet, For all the blood and sweat and grime, For blinding storms and burning heat, My heart sings but a grateful song--- These were the things that made me strong!" Thank you American soldiers! Thank you! Where ever you are stationed. May 27 WANDERINGS OF THE MIND If there are knee-highs,are there knee-lows? If there are tall kitchen bags,are there short kitchen bags? The movie "Alien vs. Predator" was very popular so why not "Terminator vs. The Borg"? (The Borg is from Star Trek:The Next Generation) If there are Director's Cuts of movies,why don't we have edited 60 minute versions of the same movies for people who don't have a lot of time to watch movies? If we have Dust Removers,why don't we have Dust Spreaders for people who really like dust? Why don't we have bras for men? I have seen a few bare chested men who really could use one. It was not a pretty sight. What happened to the Video Cassette Recorder? The stores still sell the combo units with VCR and DVD player/recorder and there are plenty of blank tapes for sale. Used book stores and the internet are full of movies on video tape so what is going on? Is there a commercial only TV channel with no programs? I bet there is! How can a black cow eat green grass and give white milk? Only God knows! I sometimes miss episodes of a mini-series on TV,so why don't they have a mini-series TV channel that shows nothing but mini-series from all the networks? If garbage trucks pick up garbage,is there a garbage service that deliver garbage to your front door? Some people never seem to have much garbage these days! JUST WONDERING!!!!!!! May 22 MOVIE REVIEW ****** Terminator: Salvation ****** This is one movie the critics hated. Me? I loved it!! Most of this film consists of action. Lots and lots of action!! Christian Bale is great as Resistance leader John Connor. The Resistance depends heavily on Connor and he delivers with explosive results!! The special effects will blow you away!! The war of machine vs humanity goes into maximum overdrive with extreme intensity that doesn't let up!! The high light of "TS" involves a stranger who comes to the aid of Connor. Who is this stranger and where does he come from? See the movie and find out! I'm sure this newest installment will be a sell out when it hits the DVD shelves! The film is rated PG-13 and runs 115 minutes. I rate this movie with a rousing three star *** approval! As always,save the center isle seat for me and I'll see you at the movies!!!
